Children’s Classes

Bournemouth, Poole, Wimborne Dancing Lessons

At DanceAway, pupils are trained under the syllabus of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, which is a worldwide and long established Examining Board.

During our Children’s Classes, dances such as the Waltz, Quickstep, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Salsa and Jive, are taught, as well as many Disco Routines, all, to popular modern music.

The Children are encouraged to dance with one another, and to change partners regularly, resulting in a very warm and friendly atmosphere within the Class.

Examinations (Medal Tests) are available each year, but these are not compulsory, and Children will not be held back, if they decide to dance for enjoyment only.

Saturday Mornings

Monday Afternoons

At The Allendale Centre, Hanham Road, Wimborne

DanceAway offer a first dancing class free of charge to all children

At DanceAway, the first dancing class is offered FREE of charge (children only - at both venues).

Thereafter, all Children’s dance classes are pay as you go, so you do not have to commit to a whole term in advance.

Come with or without a partner and learn the basics in Waltz, Quickstep, Cha Cha Cha, Jive and more. The emphasis during Adult Classes is a social, enjoyable hour of gentle exercise. The morning classes are run as part of the Kinson Community Centres’ learning for pleasure courses.

Monday Evenings

At St. Alban's Parish Church Hall, Linwood Road, Charminster, Bournemouth

Beginners

7.30pm - 8.30pm

Cost £4.00 (Come with or without a partner and learn the basics in Ballroom and Latin American Dancing)

Improvers

8.30pm - 10.00pm

Cost £5.00 (Improve your dancing, and then practice/social dancing until 10pm)

Stay all Evening

7.30pm - 10.00pm

Cost £6.00

Everyone welcome, with or without a partner.

Social Evening Dances

DanceAway currently holds quarterly Friday Evening Social Dances covering Ballroom and Latin American Dancing, plus a little popular Sequence.

This venue has a licensed bar and there is a large car park with free parking.
